Lagos State Top Officials Embark on Strategic Leadership Training at NIPSS-OSKASOGS Ago-Iwoye, Nigeria.

In a significant step towards enhancing governance, a cohort of Permanent Secretaries from the Lagos State Government has commenced a high-level Strategic Leadership and Management Course (SLMC) at the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies, Oba Dr. Sikiru Kayode Adetona School of Governance Studies (NIPSS-OSKASOGS) in Ago-Iwoye.
The programme, dubbed SLMC 2, was officially inaugurated on Monday, following the widely praised success of its inaugural edition which was designed for top officials from Ogun State.
The opening ceremony featured a gathering of prominent leaders from the academic and public service sectors. In attendance were the Director General of NIPSS, Prof. Ayo Omotayo; the Director of NIPSS-OSKASOGS, Prof. Sola Adeyanju, mni; the Head of Service of Lagos State, Mr. Bode Agoro; and his Ogun State counterpart, Mr. Kehinde Olufemi Onasanya.
The initiative is as a result of a growing inter-state collaboration for administrative excellence. Inspired by the positive outcomes witnessed in Ogun State, the Lagos State government has enrolled its most senior civil servants in the course to sharpen their strategic policy formulation and implementation skills.
The course is expected to equip the permanent secretaries with advanced tools in public sector management, driving greater efficiency and innovation in the administration of Nigeria's commercial nerve Centre.
